Stepley Stud was founded in 1979 with the purchase of a miniature black yearling filly named Aedan Melissa. She grew up with our children Carrie (Carmaco Stud) and Robert (Rosteco Stud) and taught them both to ride showing/gymkhanas etc. Then she was put in foal and along came more Shetlands for showing/breeding and Stepley Stud became every part of our life. 

We are situated in Lower Henlade, Nr Taunton in the lovely vale of Somerset and run approx 100 ponies of most colours, and sizes. We mainly breed up to height Standard Shetlands but do run a herd of miniatures as we have a miniature Stallion. "Blenheim Choirboy" and his son "Stepley Dangermouse" (owned by Robert Cozens RN, Rosteco Stud). Our other Stallions are  "Stepley Troy" "Stepley Oscar" (Stepley Stud) and "Highwood Loyalty" (owned by Carrie Cook VN, Carmaco Stud).

We enjoy showing our ponies and many of our stock have taken championships up and down the country. We also enjoy hearing how our stock have done overseas.

Carmaco and Rosteco Studs were founded in the year 2000.
Carmaco Stud runs approximately 20 standard ponies of broken coloured and black.
Rosteco Stud  runs approximately 20 miniature ponies also of most colours.

Visiting mares and visitors are accepted, but please ring first.
